Downloading your Images from Pixieset

So as most of you know, I don’t deliver photos on CD’s. The great thing about Pixieset is, not only is it gorgeous, modern, and easy to use, it’s also fabulous for viewing, sharing, downloading, and ordering professional prints and canvas, all from the comfort of your personal computer, smart phone, or tablet* (*downloading on your smartphone or tablet is not available yet! But viewing, sharing, and ordering are!)

Today I will be sharing how to download your files!

Step 1: Go to your Pixieset gallery. Easy-peasy.

Step 2: Click on the Download icon. It’s the icon between the Favorite (heart) button and the Share button; it looks like a downward pointing arrow on a rectangle.

Step 3: Enter your email address and the 4 digit PIN that was sent to you. This way you can download the full gallery.

Step 4: Choose what size you’d like the images to download in. The choices are Web Size – perfect for sharing on social media! Or High Resolution – for printing even large files! Also great for sharing on Social Media. I suggest High Resolution. Once you’ve decided which size you’d like, click Download! The following screen will pop up saying that your photos are being fetched and soon another download button will appear.

Step 5: Once your photos are finished downloading, they will be in your Downloads folder. If the folder is small and only contains a few photos, the JPGs should be ready to go. Sometimes, however, if you’re downloading larger files with a lot more photos, the computer will automatically compress the download to a ZIP folder to save space and to make the download faster. I found this link (https://answers.stanford.edu/solution/how-do-i-zip-and-unzip-files-and-folders-do-i-need-winzip-or-stuffit) useful for step by step instructions for unzipping folders for both Mac users and PC users.

Additional Help: Sometimes the download will say that the files are corrupt. I’m not exactly sure why this happens, but simply download again and that should fix the problem. Be sure to delete the corrupted files. If you need any additional help, feel free to email me and let me know what’s going on. If used properly, Pixieset is a wonderful tool for viewing, sharing, downloading, and ordering!

I hope this How To was helpful! Enjoy your photos!
